What is MainStage Pride Amsterdam?

MainStage Pride Amsterdam is the main stage Pride celebration on Dam Square in the centre of Amsterdam, held during Amsterdam Pride weekend. It is a free, open-air festival of music, drag and live performance, organised by Bar Blend B.V., the team behind the bars Blend and Blend XL on the Reguliersdwarsstraat. In 2026 it brings together international artists, DJs and drag performers in front of the Royal Palace, in the historic heart of the city.

Where is it? (Dam Square, Amsterdam)

The festival takes place on Dam Square (Dam, 1012 NP Amsterdam), Amsterdam's central square in front of the Royal Palace. Dam Square is a five-minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station and sits in the pedestrian heart of the city, so walking or cycling is the easiest way to arrive.

When does MainStage Pride Amsterdam take place?

MainStage Pride Amsterdam 2026 runs over three days, Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August 2026:

• Friday 31 July, 16:00 to 00:00 · MainStage Opening Night
• Saturday 1 August, 15:00 to 00:00 · MainStage Pride Celebration
• Sunday 2 August, 14:00 to 23:00 · MainStage Grand Finale

The official afterparty runs at Blend XL on the Reguliersdwarsstraat each night.

Is it free, and how do tickets work?

Entry to the festival on Dam Square is free and open to everyone, with more than 10,000 visitors a day. The only paid option is the Pride Deck, a raised VIP viewing area with a guaranteed spot, the best view over the square, a private bar and a welcome drink. Pride Deck tickets are sold online through the official ticket shop:

• Sunday: €75
• Full weekend: €145

Who is performing?

The 2026 line-up features headliners Jennifer Cooke and Roog, the FEMMAZING acts Bodil Coco, Boogshe and Showgirls Amsterdam, plus Divine (Friday), Amari and Nachtvlinder (Saturday). More names are announced closer to the event. See the full line-up.

Age limit, accessibility and safety

Age: the arena is 18+. The Sunday community stage on Dam Square is open to all ages until 19:00.

Accessibility: MainStage Pride is wheelchair accessible, with raised viewing platforms, step-free routes, accessible toilets and a quiet, low-stimulus room all weekend. Companion tickets are free.

Safety: the festival is a safe, inclusive space for the whole LGBTQ+ community and allies, with trained security, stewards, a welfare team and a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination or harassment. Bars are cashless and serve responsibly to visitors aged 18 and over.

How to get to Dam Square

Dam Square is in the centre of Amsterdam, a short walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station, and is served by trams 2, 11, 12, 13 and 17. Late at night, GVB night buses run from Centraal across the city after the trams and metro stop. The area is car-free, so public transport, cycling or walking are best.
